I am Asian. I am American.

I am Asian. I am American. (2019) is a documentary photography series.

In April 2019, I ventured to the Little Vietnam neighborhood of Argyle Street and Chinatown to uncover the effects of American and foreign influences on Asian communities. Popular culture, segregation, the physical movement of poverty, and the push for tourism have infiltrated the areas. This is the last of East and Southeast Asian-American communities in Chicago.

An extension of this series will continue the next 10 years to cover foreign influences in Asian communities across the United States and Asia.
